Riding
- On the ground, leaning shifts your weight: lean back to lift the front wheel (a wheelie), lean forward to keep it down on climbs.
- In the air, leaning spins the bike. Holding the throttle also lifts the nose and braking drops it, so manage the throttle off big jumps.
- Hop pops the bike off the ground to clear small spikes and cracks. Hold longer for a bigger hop.
Flips and landings
- Spin a full turn in the air for a backflip (leaning back) or a frontflip (leaning forward).
- A flip only counts if you land clean: both wheels down, bike roughly level with the ground. Land with both wheels at almost the same time for a PERFECT.
- Clean flip landings give you a burst of speed (more for doubles and perfects). Sloppy landings after big air cost speed. Good riding is fast riding.
- Chain clean flips without crashing to build your combo (up to ×5) for a higher stunt score.
Crashes and checkpoints
Hitting your head, landing upside down or touching a hazard is a crash. You are back at the last checkpoint flag instantly (press throttle or R to skip the replay). The clock keeps running, so crashes cost time, never progress.
Stars, medals and rewards
- Every level has three challenges, such as a target time, a number of flips or no crashes. Each one earns a star, in any run.
- Your time also earns a gold, silver or bronze medal.
- Clearing levels, earning stars and winning gold earns Bolts, which you spend in the Garage on paints, bikes, suits, trails and effects. Star totals unlock free rewards too.
Racing others
- Sign in to post your times to the leaderboards and the world ranking.
- A see-through ghost races you: the world record holder, or your own best run.
- The Daily challenge picks one level a day for everyone, with its own leaderboard.
Pro tips
- Sand: keep the front wheel light (a gentle wheelie) or it digs in.
- Ice: there is almost no grip, so carry speed onto it and brake before you reach it.
- Wind: lean into it in the air; a tailwind tips your nose down.
- Geysers: watch the countdown ring and ride the eruption when it turns green.
- Jump pads: watch the speed gauge and arrive in the green, or you will overshoot.
- Low gravity: you float for ages: the perfect place for double and triple flips.
